FTA to Host State Management Review Workshops for Transit Agencies, November - December 2016
The Federal Transit Administration sent this bulletin at 11/02/2016 11:54 AM EDTThe FTA will host a series of State Management Review Workshops for transit agencies through December 2016. The State Management Review is a comprehensive oversight review of transit agency grantees that assesses management practices and program implementation of:
- Metropolitan Planning and State Planning and Research Programs (49 U.S.C. 5305),
- Capital Investment Program (49 U.S.C. 5309),
- Elderly Individuals and Individuals with Disabilities Program (49 U.S.C. 5310),
- Non-urbanized Area Formula Program (49 U.S.C. 5311),
- Job Access and Reverse Commute Program (49 U.S.C. 5316),
- New Freedom Program (49 U.S.C. 5317), and
- American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).
The review ensures that grantees’ programs meet program objectives and are administered in accordance with 49 U.S.C. Chapter 53, Federal transit law provisions, and FTA requirements.
The workshop is designed to assist transit agency grantees in preparing for State Management Reviews by reviewing statutory and program requirements and providing grantees with training materials, procedural guides, and other supporting materials. Participants include state public transit agency staff, FTA Regional Office staff members, and FTA State Management Review contractors.
