Oregon DOT’s Strategy to Implement Internal Curing
Please join us to learn about the strategy adopted by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) to implement internal curing (IC) for bridge deck construction.
This webinar will offer participants insights on why ODOT explored internally cured concrete. The development of draft specifications, trial projects, and preliminary challenges will be discussed. The advantages of internal curing will be presented in field crack surveys and cost-benefit studies. ODOT will present its approach to bridge deck service life before and after IC and share their final specification revisions. By showcasing one State agency’s path to successful deployment, this webinar will provide other agencies with useful information to help navigate their own implementation.
