Job Summary:
This position is located in the Office of Policy and Research (OPR) a major component of the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA). Office functions include: (1) the analysis of complex policy and legislative issues involving or affecting employee benefit plans, especially in the areas of tax, health care, insurance, and securities law, (2) coordination of policies and legislation within the Department of the Administration, (3) implementation of Section 513, Title I of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) by conducting research studies and economic surveys relating to employee pension and benefit plans, and (4) provision of assistance to Congress and other Federal agencies by supplying technical assistance, information and analyses relating to employee benefit systems. As EBSAs Chief Actuary, the incumbent of this position serves as a focal point within the Agency for actuarial analysis conducted per authority of Title II of ERISA, Advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy and Assistant Secretary, EBSA, EBSAs representative to other Federal Agencies and private industry, and nationally recognized consultant to the actuarial community. The incumbent performs economically and politically sensitive analytical work which often sets precedent, policy, and industry guidelines. Assignments and responsibilities require the application of extensive professional knowledge and experience in actuarial science, mathematics, and statistics and a broad background and depth of understanding in employee benefit plans, business, financial and economic principles, annuities, and life and health insurance principles, practices, risks and contingencies. This position is outside the bargaining unit. GS-15 is the full performance level of this position. PCS expenses may be offered at the agency's discretion.

Job Summary:
This position is located in the Division of Information Technology Operations Support (DOS), Office of Technology and Information Services (OTIS), Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA). OTIS is responsible for providing IT leadership and guiding EBSA information resources planning, policy development, management, use and evaluation; developing and managing the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) database; and providing technical support for programmatic and administrative information systems. The Customer Support Specialist, performs a wide variety of technical IT customer support functions, administers and supports EBSAs remote access and collaboration tools and performs work related to CISCO Any Connect, RSA Administration Console and Microsoft SharePoint Applications.
