Veterans Career Compass Webinar: Best Practices to Connect Military Spouses and Veterans with Good Jobs
The Women’s Bureau will host 2022 Women in Apprenticeship & Nontraditional Occupations (WANTO) grantee the Hampton Roads Workforce Council for a discussion about what works to connect the military community with great employment options. Learn what strategies they use to build employer commitments and strong partnerships that lead to good job offers, expert business advice and supportive services for military spouses, women veterans, veterans with disabilities and others in the military community.

Removing Obstacles: Exploring Military Spouse Employment in the Southeast
Tomorrow (Tuesday), the Women’s Bureau’s Southeast Region will host a webinar to highlight the current priority issues related to military spouse employment in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, including license portability, child care and other state-specific initiatives on military spouse employment. Attendees will also hear about federal and state-level employment programs available for military spouses in the region, as well as worker protections.
From Apprenticeship to Contractor: The Lifecycle of a Tradeswoman
This National Apprenticeship Week, join us for a webinar exploring the inspiring career journeys of tradeswomen. This event will feature insights from tradeswomen at various stages in their careers, including apprentices, journeymen, foremen, project managers and contractors. You will also learn about the importance of and best practices for recruiting more women into pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs.
