Job Summary:
This position is located in the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Office of Field Operations, BLS Regional Office, Division of Compensation Surveys, or comparable organizational unit. The mission of the Office of Field Operations is to provide collection expertise and feedback to the development of Bureau survey programs, to effectively and efficiently execute survey activities both directly and through grantees, and to conduct an active program of information and outreach for Bureau products. The National Compensation Survey (NCS), includes the Employment Cost Index, a designated Principal Federal Economic Indicator of the Federal Government and a major economic program of BLS. Working out of a Regional or field office, the incumbent of this position spends more than 50 percent of the work time on data collection duties. This position may report to the Assistant Regional Commissioner or one of the Branch Chiefs in the Division. Relocation expense are not authorized for this vacancy.
