Job Summary:
This position is located at the Mountainside NJ Wage and Hour Division (WHD). The WHD enforces Federal minimum wage, overtime pay, record keeping, and child labor requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act. The WHD also enforces the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA), the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act (MSPA), field sanitation and housing standards in the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and a number of employment standards and worker protections provided in the immigration law. Additionally, the WHD administers and enforces the prevailing wage requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act and the McNamara O'Hara Service Contract Act and other statutes applicable to Federal contracts for construction and for the provision of goods and services. This position is inside the bargaining unit. The full performance level is GS-12. There is no obligation to provide future promotions to you if you are selected.
