Job Summary:
This position is located in the Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (ETA), in Boston, MA. The position serves as a project officer for designated grantees and requires the performance of a variety of assignments that support the ETA's program oversight, assistance with legislative implementation, delivery of technical assistance to grantees, and public relations with government and non-government organizations. The incumbents efforts support and improve programs and operational integrity. This position requires strong written and interpersonal communication, data analysis, presentation, and project management skills. The incumbent is the point person to assist grantees to achieve grant compliance, positive outcomes and continuous improvement. This position requires travel to various state offices that could be located in areas where public transportation is very limited or non-existent; as a result the employee is required to operate a motor vehicle to reach those offices and fulfill their duties. As such the ability to operate a motor vehicle and possession of a current/valid driver license is required. This position has promotion potential to the grade of GS-12. Promotion Potential: There is no obligation to provide future promotions to you if you are selected. Future promotions are dependent on your ability to perform the duties at a higher level, the continuing need for an employee assigned to the higher level, and supervisory approval. This positions is inside the bargaining unit.
