Relationship Dynamics and Teen Dating Violence (TDV) Romantic relationships can be defining milestones and important learning opportunities in adolescence. Unfortunately, not all of these relationships are healthy. A substantial percentage of dating teens report experiencing physical (18 percent), psychological (60 percent), or sexual (18 percent) violence in their relationships within the previous year.
