Four factsheets for improving body armor safety through threat-level and personal fit assessments, compliance, and testing.

NIJ collaborates with the Justice Technology Information Center (JTIC) to gather information on innovations in criminal justice technology. We develop resources to improve officer safety equipment by informing decision-makers about evaluation, selection, and purchase of proven methods, equipment and technology.
