Western U.S. Ground Motions Workshop - Friday, Sept. 16th

The National Seismic Hazard Model Project (NSHMP) will host a public workshop on Friday, Sept. 16^th to discuss proposed updates to the western U.S. ground motion models (GMMs), including the implementation of western U.S. basin amplification, basin edge effects, and seismic directivity for the 2023 National Seismic Hazard Model (NSHM). The workshop will convene virtually (using Microsoft Teams: see link below) and consists of two sessions. A draft agenda is attached to this newsletter. We hope that you can all join us!

Session 1: 10:00am to 11:30am MDT

Session 2: 11:45am to 2:00pm MDT
