Counterterrorism Operations Support (CTOS) is providing an exciting new training option: Instructor-led online course delivery! Our Instructors deliver this live training using the Webex platform. Exams are provided online through the CTOS Learning Management System (LMS). Our goal is to provide a course that allows Participants to complete their course work using a flexible schedule—completely online.
At this time, CTOS is offering AWR-140, Introduction to Radiological/Nuclear WMD Operations and AWR-346, Introduction to Radiological/Nuclear WMD Operations for Law Enforcement . The courses are 3 hours in length and begin at 0900 pacific time. Available courses and dates are:
AWR-140--June 8, 2021
AWR-346--June 22, 2021
Signing up is easy. Visit the CTOS LMS, register or sign-in, click on the course catalog and locate WBT Web‑EX02 series for AWR-140 and WBT Web‑EX03 for AWR-346, select the date you would like to attend, and complete the pretest prior to the start date of the course. Approximately 2 days before the course begins, CTOS will email the WebEx log-on instructions and class materials to all Participants who have completed the pretest. On the date of the course, you will sign in and join the Instructor. The final exam and student assessment will open after the Webex portion of the course has concluded, and it will remain open for a week to provide Participants adequate time to complete the course requirements.
The courses provide the Participant with the fundamental knowledge of radiation, the ability to recognize a radiological or nuclear incident, the knowledge to respond safely, and the ability to minimize health risks from such incidents. AWR-346 is designed specifically for Law Enforcement and AWR-140 is designed for all other first responders and the whole community.
