50 YEAR OLD C-130 ROCKS 2011 AMC RODEO:  Reporter Amy Schlesing, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (Little Rock, Ark.), interviewed Master Sgt. Benjamin Roberts of the 314th Airlift Wing about an aging C-130 that received a perfect score of 600 points during the 2011 Air Mobility Command Rodeo maintenance competition. The news article appeared in yesterday’s paper (July 27). Positive media coverage received.

RED CARPET SIM TOUR:  Two University of Texas at San Antonio Reserve Officer Training Corps Cadets were given a tour of the 559th Flying Training Squadron followed by a T-6 simulator experience. The cadets are slated to enter the Air Force as pilots later this year. During the tour, the cadets spoke with Lt. Col. Kevin Heyburn, 559th FTS commander, as well as Don Hudson, 12th Operations Support Squadron T-6 simulator instructor.

Tolbert talked about her background in the Air Force, her current job and the opportunities the Air Force has given her. The program aired Thursday, July 14. Positive media coverage received.
