Feds Feed Families underway

 

This week the 934th Airlift Wing will kick off the Feds Feed Families

Campaign. The Wing will be collecting donations until Aug. 28. All donations

will go to support VEAP, a local food bank that serves the residents of

Bloomington, Edina, Richfield, and South Minneapolis (south of 50th St &

west of Cedar Ave). This food bank serves over 7,000 people per month. To

http://www.veapvolunteers.org 

 

 

Also needed are personal care items, baby items, paper products, school supply items for back to school, and even paper grocery bags. There are boxes located on based that have been labeled with a Feds Feed Families flyer and the Most Needed Items listing. Please place donations in these boxes. Also look for our booth at Family Day this year to leave donated items.

 

These are hard times for everyone, so please support this campaign in a way that is best for you and your family.

5K/Fun Run - 3 Aug at the Fitness Center parking lot

The run starts at 5:30 p.m. Either run a mile or a 5k for free! To sign up, contact Airman and

Family Fun by Key Spouse at Family Day

 

Bring a buck, pick a duck, win a great prize! Bikes, scooters, tricycles,

toys, everyone will win something, just $1.00 per try.

 

Key Spouse basket drawing - for just $1 you get a chance to win one of four

great baskets, themes are sports (including a gift certificate to get your

picture on a Wheatie's box), bath & body (great bath and body products in a

great ThirtyOne bag), spaghetti dinner (noodles, sauce, chocolates, coffee,

cute checkered table cloth and dish towels) and a water fun basket.

 

Heart Strings drawing - bring a homemade or purchased baby hat or blanket

for the heart strings program and your name is entered for a chance to win a

$25 gift card.

 

There will also be free face painting for the kids.

The Minnesotan's Military Appreciation Fund has 1000 free Minnesota Vikings

tickets (first come first serve). Each SM can request up to 8 tickets.
