Pre-sale movie tickets
Base theater movie tickets are available for advance purchase every Monday at the entrance to the food court from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fifty percent of seats will be available for pre-sale. The remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the movie theater box office on the day of the movie.
Child care summer day passes
Aviano Youth Programs offers summer day passes from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cost is $30 per child and includes activities, breakfast, lunch and a snack. For more information, call 632-7575.

A sponsor training class will be held from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. Missoula Children’s Theater casting call, July 29
A casting call for “The Tortoise Versus the Hare” will be held for children in 1st through 12th grade at 10 a.m. at the Aviano Elementary School multi-purpose room on Area 1. Scrap yard services change
The Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services Aviano office has moved to Hangar 4 on Area F. Customers may now bring their government unserviceable property to Hangar 5 instead of the base refuse center. A DD1318-1A form is still required for all turn-ins. IACS registration
Team Aviano members are reminded to complete Installation Access Control System registration to include active duty, dependant ID cardholders and department of defense employees. Members must also re-register when issued a new ID card for any reason. Traffic Management Office appointments
Airmen are reminded to schedule their TMO briefing as soon as they receive permanent change of station orders. TMO needs at least three weeks to schedule household good shipments to avoid short-notice moves. Several cases of members waiting until the last minute forced them to designate a Power of Attorney to be available in their absence after their departure date. To schedule a briefing, call 632-5933.
New Professional Development Guide available online
The latest Professional Development Guide is available at http://pdg.af.edu. Effective date of the new guide is Oct. 1, 2013. Master sergeants testing this December will be the first examinees to use the guide to prepare for promotion testing. Printed guides will be distributed to all promotion-eligible active duty Airmen in the grades of E-4 through E-8 and airmen first class with at least two years in service. Base and unit Weighted Airman Promotion System monitors will assist with the distribution of printed guides slated for early fall.
University of Phoenix no longer offering courses at Aviano
Effective Aug. 1, 2013, University of Phoenix will no longer offer face-to-face courses at Aviano due to a contract change. Members attending University of Phoenix on site may contact the school representative at 632-5139 prior to July 31, 2013, to determine the options regarding their educational plan. After July 31, members must contact the main campus for more information.
Road service training class, July 27
The Aviano Auto Hobby Shop hosts a road service training class from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $5. Participants will learn where the tire jack is located, the process of removing and installing a tire, prepping for summer travel and more. For more information, call 632-2277.
Wood shop safety courses, Saturdays
