Maintainers keep ‘em flying while deployed

934th awarded for excellence.

The 934th Civil Engineers recently won the Air Force Reserve Command 2011 Outstanding Civil Engineer Unit Award and are the runners up for the Air Force Outstanding Unit of the Year, The Society of American Military Engineers Curtin Award, in the Air Reserve Component unit category. The 27th Aerial Port Squadron was named AFRC Aerial Port of the Year. The 934th Public Affairs office won the AFRC best field video award.

 

Order of the Global Viking nominations open

Force Structure Update

 

The latest force structure information will be updated here each week as it becomes available.

 

Inquiries and dialogues have been conducted with two senators and three representatives to date. February 13, the President released the proposed FY2013 budget for the US Government.

 

The 934 AW leadership has been contacted by two senators and one congressman in regards to the force structure announcement.

 

February 3, the Air Force released the Air Force Strategy and Force Structure Overview.

 

The overview proposes to drawdown the 96th Airlift Squadron by transferring eight C-130H3 aircraft in FY 13. The exact time or location has not been specified. The 934th Airlift Wing will remain operational and the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Air Reserve Station real estate will be transferred from the Air Force Reserve to the Air National Guard.

Relationships with children are much like plants, they need constant nourishing. At home, this comes easily through the activities and time you spend with them. H&R Block at Home® Free Tax Filing Service

Military OneSource Tax Program has launched the H&R Block at Home® free electronic filling tax service. File Federal and State taxes online for free. This is the same program many may have used before. Those who have already created an H&R Block account can use login credentials for that account.

The free offer is only valid through the Military OneSource site.

Teen leadership summit

 

AFRC will once again host the AFR/ANG Teen Leadership Summits in

2012. Marketing materials to include postcards and posters have been mailed

to the Airman and Family Readiness office and Command Chiefs for distribution. Additional information regarding the camps can be found at www.afrc.af.mil/library/4rfamilies.

 

The online application is available now with an application deadline of April 13. Also, look for the advertisement in the February edition of Citizen Airman.
