A U.S. soldier uses bolt cutters to sever electrical tubing inside a building on Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, Feb. 26, 2014. The soldier is a combat engineer assigned to the 1223rd and 955th Engineer companies. The units have deconstructed more than 1,000 structures during their deployment and have been vital in aiding with the closure of numerous bases.
