U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Michael Burchfield provides security from the turret of a mine-resistant, ambush-protected vehicle in the Now Zad district in Afghanistan's Helmand province, Feb. 17, 2014. Burchfield is a rifleman with India Co., 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment. The Marines supported Afghan forces conducting an operation in the area.
