U.S. Army Maj. Elizabeth Gum relays the condition of a simulated casualty to a triage station during a mass casualty exercise on Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, Nov. 22, 2013. Gum, a medical liaison officer, is assigned to 82nd Sustainment Brigade, U.S. Central Command Materiel Recovery Element.
