Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel will lay a wreath at the U.S. Navy Memorial to honor the victims of the Washington Navy Yard shooting. The wreath-laying will take place at 10 a.m. EDT today at the U.S. Navy Memorial, 701 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington D.C. Media pre-set is 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. EDT, and all equipment must be in place by 9 a.m. EDT for a mandatory security sweep. Still photographers and TV crews will be directed to one of two locations to tape arrival and wreath ceremony. Mike Hostage and other senior Air Force officials conduct media roundtables on a range of Air Force topics at the annual Air Force Association Conference beginning at 10:50 a.m. EDT, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, National Harbor, Md. Assistant Secretary of Defense for Global Strategic Affairs Madelyn Creedon participates in the Stimson Center Lunch Series at 12:30 p.m. EDT, at 1111 19th St., NW, Washington, D.C.
