General Officer Announcement Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel announced today that the President has made the following nomination: Army Maj. Gen. Michael S. Tucker for appointment to the rank oflieutenant general and for assignment as commanding general, First U.S. Army, Rock Island Arsenal, Ill. Tucker is currently serving as assistant deputy chief of staff, G-3/5/7, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C.
