U.S. Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta meets with Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping before a meeting in Beijing, Sept. 19, 2012. Panetta visited Tokyo before Beijing, and will travel to Auckland, New Zealand, during a weeklong trip to the Asia-Pacific region.
