Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta meets with members of the Aerospace Industries Association, National Defense Industrial Association, and Professional Services Council in Arlington, Va., July 23, 2012. The group met to discuss the impacts on the Defense Department and the defense industrial base should Congress fail to agree by January on an alternative to a provision of budget law that would mandate an additional $500 billion in defense budget cuts over the next decade.
