U.S. Marines pull a rope during a tug-of-war event as part of a BLT Independence Day Warrior Challenge on Camp Buehring, Kuwait, July 4, 2012. The Marines are assigned to Alpha Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The 24th MEU is deployed as part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, a U.S. Central Command theater reserve force providing support for maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5
