Navy Adm. James A. Winnefeld Jr., vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, speaks at the annual Got Heart, Give Hope Gala in Washington, D.C., May 23, 2012. The awards banquet and silent auction brought together wounded warriors, families, military leaders and celebrities, including actor Gary Sinise and country music singers Randy Travis and James Wesley.
