Air Force Col. Christopher Barnett and Maj. John B. Creel brief the press, May 17, 2012, on the Distinguished Flying Cross medals with valor that officials will award at the Pentagon. The medals recognize airmen who flew through firefights and blinding sandstorms to evacuate critical casualties in Afghanistan 2009.
