U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Ian J. Duncan greets an Afghan elder during the opening of the Green School in the Marjah district of Afghanistan's Helmand province, April 25, 2012. Duncan is assigned to Civil Affairs Detachment, Regimental Combat Team 5. The school was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the district governor.
