HSIN Legacy Scheduled Maintenance Window / Friday, July 19, 2013 21:00 EDT – Saturday, July 20, 2013 08:00 EDT - 48 Hour Notification

(1) 48 Hour Notification

(2) Subject: Maintenance Window to perform applications and configuration maintenance to the HSIN Legacy SBU environment.

(3) Status: Maintenance begins in 48 Hours

(4) Reason/Purpose of Planned Outage

Configuration/applications maintenance. Required as a routine system function to insure optimal performance. 

(5) Application(s) Affected

This maintenance will impact all HSIN Legacy SBU customers. Customers will experience intermittent inability to access the HSIN Legacy and applications being maintained during this maintenance period.

Will this maintenance impact the AMS WebService. >Yes< (This service being interrupted will mean the access to DHS COP will be unavailable as this HSIN Legacy webservice is used for DHS COP authentication of credentials).

In addition to intermittent inability to login to the HSIN Legacy, this maintenance WILL impact the following applications used by the NOC:

Jabber

Connect

SharePoint libraries

Access to:

DHS COP

GII

Oneview

DHSEarth

 (6) Expected Impact to the NOC:

This maintenance will disrupt HSIN Legacy SBU services described in item 5 above for the DHS NOC. 

HSIN Legacy SBU services as identified above, used by the NOC will be impacted between Friday, July 19, 2013 21:00 EDT and Saturday, July 20, 2013 04:00 EDT including short periods of inability to login to the “DHS COP,” HSIN Legacy SBU, and access to the other applications identified above.

Maintenance activities between Saturday, July 20, 2013 04:00 EDT and Saturday, July 20, 2013 08:00 EDT will be performed on the failover and other non-customer facing equipment and WILL NOT impact the NOC or any HSIN Legacy customers.

Friday, July 19, 2013 21:00 EDT

Saturday, July 20, 2013 04:00 EDT

(9) How long will HSIN Legacy O&M be performing activities related to this maintenance window:

The outage will occur from Friday, July 19, 2013 21:00 EDT through Friday Saturday, July 20, 2013 04:00 EDT.  The total outage will be seven (7) hours.

Maintenance activities will be performed over an eleven (11) hour period beginning on Friday, July 19, 2013 21:00 EDT and continuing through Saturday, July 20, 2013 08:00 EDT. Activities between Saturday, July 20, 2013 04:00 EDT and Saturday, July 20, 2013 08:00 EDT will not impact any customer facing applications or services.

The system will be returned to service sooner if the maintenance activities requiring the outage are completed earlier than the anticipated time of Saturday, July 20, 2013 04:00 EDT.
