v HSIN Hosts Important New Cyber Security Effort
The Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Network Resilience (FNR) Division is utilizing HSIN Release 3 (R3) as a communication and collaboration tool for their Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program. The CDM Program will assist Federal Departments and Agencies in meeting their continuous monitoring and FISMA reporting requirements. The CDM Community of Interest (COI), named the CDM Portal, leverages the HSIN R3 environment to generate awareness of the CDM Program and for information sharing with government agencies. One of its features are Toolkits, explaining the CDM Program, detailing the many benefits of the program, and explaining how government agencies can participate. v This Week We Are Pleased to Welcome Large-Scale DHS Migrations
We are proud to announce the successful migration of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Emergency Management (EM), Law Enforcement (LE), and Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) communities of interest (COIs) to HSIN R3. These entities represent intricate HSIN sites with advanced architecture and complex COIs. Additionally, the migration of both FEMA and EM is crucial in supporting the upcoming Hurricane Season. The HSIN team is grateful for the ongoing commitment and collaboration put forth by these DHS offices to facilitate the migrations in a timely and efficient manner. In summary, 53% of the total COIs have been migrated from the HSIN Legacy System and into the HSIN R3 System and 98% of state COIs have been migrated.
