Study in the States recently launched a redesigned Stakeholder Webinars page that makes it easier to find and identify SEVP, Student and Exchange Visitor Information System and government partner-hosted webinars by including them in one central location. With the new design, each webinar also has its own unique webpage with details and additional resources.

Learn About B-1/B-2 to F-1 or M-1 Change of Status

Per federal regulations, B-1 and B-2 nonimmigrants (i.e., visitors who are in the United States for business and pleasure purposes) are prohibited from enrolling in a course of study at an SEVP-certified school. If a B-1 or B-2 nonimmigrant wishes to study at a U.S. school, they must file a Form I-539, “Application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status,” with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Share These Summer Reminders with F-1 Students

As many F-1 international students prepare to take their annual vacation, SEVP wants to remind them of the importance of maintaining their student status throughout their summer break and the upcoming academic year.

Share these resources from Study in the States with your F-1 students to help them maintain their student status.
