RAD’s Operations Branch provides situational and operational support to Recovery and its federal partners by leveraging available technology: reports, dashboards, and data solutions.

As Tableau developers and graphic designers, Visualization (Viz) produces impactful visualizations to increase evidence-based decision making. We lead processes, development, and design of dashboards including administering internal controls and guidance to increase transparency and consistency of information and data.
Responsibilities include:
• Transforming mission-critical data into visual narratives to help analyze programs and policies, improve effectiveness and efficiency, and inform leadership decisions
• Managing dashboard development, including implementing internal controls and governance, increasing community engagement, and enabling users to get the right data at the right time
• Engaging with stakeholders and customers to develop and design visual products to share disaster and recovery data
Have you explored the Design Resource Hub? It's a great place to learn first-hand from RAD's designers on how use creative solutions to elevate your products.
• Developing and maintaining more than 60 Individual Assistance (IA) and Public Assistance (PA) dashboards including COVID-19, equity, housing, Individuals and Households Program (IHP), grants, mass care, and survivor needs
• Developing and designing the FEMA PA Support for COVID-19 Dashboard to visualize coordination and delivery of assistance for COVID-19 declarations
• Designing static visualizations such as end-of-year infographics to outline key accomplishments and statistics
• Creating and maintaining the RAD Dashboard Catalog with helpful information including tips, summaries, links, and updates
• Providing visualization expertise in requirements gathering, product development, and adherence to visualization best practices
RAD’s three branches — Analysis, Operations, and Field Support — provide Recovery and its federal partners with analytical and operational support. These branches contain sections that address customers’ specific needs by providing products and services. RAD’s Front Office, the Division’s administrative hub, coordinates RAD activities and oversees project management operations.
Our projects reflect the spirit of our team by incorporating diverse perspectives and skills, striving for intellectual rigor, and above all, achieving excellence when serving our customers and disaster survivors.
