Hazards can be unpredictable and evolve quickly. In the midst of the chaos, anyone can play an integral role in mitigating the impacts of a man made hazard, including active shooter incidents. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) aims to enhance preparedness through a "whole community" approach by providing products, tools, and resources to help you prepare for and respond to an active shooter incident. You can access these resources and information to help you have a quality all-hazards plan at www.fema.gov/faith-resources. (Photo source: Prepareathon www.ready.gov/prepare)
