USA Firefighter Fatality Notification
The United States Fire Administration (USFA) has received notice of the following firefighter fatality:

Incident Description: While Firefighter Rice was working at the scene of a fire in a multi-family dwelling, he became trapped from a cause still to be determined in heavy smoke and fire conditions between the second and third floors of the structure. Firefighter Rice was rescued by fellow firefighters, treated on-scene, and transported to the Salem Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The fatal incident is being investigated by local, state, and federal authorities.

Funeral: Friday, 12/30/2011 at 1000hrs, St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church ST, Peabody, MA.
