Let's have a fire-safe 4th
It’s that time of year, the weather is warmer, the pool is
calling and no one wants to cook in the kitchen. As your community members
start to fire up their grills and think about July 4th, share the
messages and social media cards below to help them do it safely.
Pictograph templates and animations
If you participated in our pictograph webinar, you will
remember the sneak peek we gave you of the flyer, door hanger, poster and
banner templates and animations. These materials are now available. If you have
any questions or need help, please let us know.
Look. Listen. Learn.
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) released
the theme for Fire Prevention Week 2018, “Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire
can happen anywhere.™”
“LOOK” for places fire could start. Take a good look around
your home. Identify potential fire hazards and take care of them.
“LISTEN” for the sound of the smoke alarm. You could have
only minutes to escape safely once the smoke alarm sounds. Go to your outside
meeting place, which should be a safe distance from the home and where everyone
should meet.
“LEARN” two ways out of every room and make sure all doors
and windows leading outside open easily and are free of clutter.

The new Fire Prevention Week website will be launched
in late July.
