Update: Direct Filing Addresses for Form I-485 and Form I-539

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services today announced revisions to the Direct Filing Addresses for Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, and Form I-539, Application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status, for the U-based nonimmigrant classification.

For U-based nonimmigrants, the U.S. state or territory where the applicant resides will determine where to send the Form I-485 and/or Form I-539. Please refer to the Direct Filing Addresses for Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, and/or the Direct Filing Addresses for Form I-539, Application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status, to see where you should file these applications for U-based nonimmigrants.

Please note, USCIS will allow a 30-day grace period in which affected petitioners may file Form I-485 or Form I-539 at the previously designated service centers. The grace period will end on April 11, 2020. After this date, USCIS may reject those petitions sent to the incorrect service center.
