SUBJ: UPDATE TO ADMINISTRATIVE REMARKS, FORM CG-3307 POLICY
A. Administrative Remarks, Form CG-3307, COMDTINST 1000.14D
1. This ALCOAST announces updates to the Coast Guard policy
on the timeframe in which Administrative Remarks, Form
CG-3307, can be issued.
2. Paragraph 9.j. of REF (A) is amended to read as follows:
"Authorized personnel may issue Administrative Remarks,
Form CG-3307, documentation for incidents within two years
of the date of the incident, or within two years of the date
that the command knew, or should have known, about the
incident. The two-year limitation may be waived for good cause
(e.g., extended criminal investigations; Office of the Chief
Prosecutor review of covered, related, or known offenses;
court-martial proceedings; or complex jurisdictional issues).
In these cases, the CG-3307 must be signed by the first Flag
Officer in the member's chain of command or Commander (CG PSC),
and the good cause must be documented in the CG-3307 comments."
3. REF (A) will be updated per internal controls requirements.
