SUBJ: NEW TRAVEL SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION - GO.GOV
1. This ALCOAST announces the Coast Guard's upcoming transition from
the E2 Solutions travel platform to the new government-wide travel
system, GO.gov. GO.gov is scheduled to "go-live" for the Coast Guard
in Calendar Year (CY) 2027. GO.gov will serve as the centralized
Travel and Expense Management (TEM) system procured and managed
nationally by the General Service Administration (GSA).
2. Background. In 2021, GSA mandated the transition to a new
TEM system, called GO.gov, for all federal agencies, except the
Department of War. Federal agencies began to transition to GO.gov,
beginning in late CY 2025, with full government-wide adoption slated
for CY 2027.
3. Applicability. All TDY travel for uniformed and civilian members
will be conducted in GO.gov beginning at go-live in CY 2027.
This transition will consolidate all TDY travel-booking and
expense-management functions into a single modern platform designed
to improve efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen policy compliance,
and increase visibility across government travel activities.
In addition, GSA's Federal Acquisition Service will centrally
procure a new Travel Management Company (TMC) to support all federal
agencies with travel agent services. The transition from the
Coast Guard's current TMC, Carlson Wagonlit Travel Sato (CWTSato),
to the new TMC will occur simultaneously with the GO.gov go-live.
