1. This ALCOAST announces the winners of the 2026 Coast Guard
Inspirational Leadership Award and Navy League Leadership Award
for CY 2025 per REF (A). These awards celebrate Coast Guard
personnel who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, mentorship,
and exemplary service, thereby making a significant impact and
further inspiring their colleagues. There are 8 winners and 8
honorable mentions, chosen from an impressive pool of 99 nominees,
each embodying the Coast Guard's Core Values of Honor, Respect, and
Devotion to Duty.
2. The Inspirational Leadership Award winners and honorable
mentions are:

4. The winners of these awards are exceptional leaders who epitomize
selfless service and unwavering dedication to their people, the
Service and mission excellence. They actively champion their teams,
fostering trust, teamwork, and integrity through their actions.
Their strategic vision and commitment to measurable results have
significantly and positively impacted the Coast Guard. They embody
the highest standards of the Service and exemplify the legacy of
these awards.
5. All winners will receive the following:
    a. A congratulatory call from the Commandant, Vice Commandant &
Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard.
    b. Recognition at their local command with an engraved trophy.
    c. Select recognition in marketing and communications including
a MyCG story, social media, the Leadership Development Branch
website and SharePoint, and at the Sector/District/Command/Unit
level.
6. The Navy League Awards winners will also receive:
    a. AMT1 Sebastiano Musumeci will be meritoriously advanced to
Chief Petty Officer.
    b. Formal recognition from the Navy League at their annual
convention and awards luncheon on 5 June 2026.
7. Nominating commands are asked/encouraged to recognize their
winners by documenting their selection using all appropriate methods
such as a positive CG-3307, personnel awards, OERs and EERs, and/or
with a citation to positively impact future boards, panels, and
assignments.
8. Nominating commands are asked/encouraged to recognize the honorable
mention selectees and those not selected with due recognition using
all appropriate methods. At a minimum, documentation of the award
nomination should be reflected in nominees' performance evaluations,
personnel files and other methods such as positive CG-3307s.

11. The call for submissions for calendar year 2026 Inspirational
Leadership Awards will be announced in November 2026.
