JUNEAU, Alaska – The media is invited to tour the Coast Guard command center in Juneau Tuesday, May 19, to learn about command center operations and the impacts of false emergency notifications known as “false alerts.” False alerts can unnecessarily redirect personnel and assets from an emergency and put first responders in unnecessary danger.
