SUBJ: SOLICITATION - CALENDAR YEAR 2025 UNITED STATES INTERDICTION
COORDINATOR (USIC) AWARD NOMINATIONS
1. This ALCOAST solicits nominations for awards sponsored by the
United States Interdiction Coordinator (USIC) within the Office of
National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). USIC recognizes individuals
and units who have shown exceptional innovation, tactics, and
results in interdicting illicit drugs, precursor chemicals and money
derived from illicit drug activities or dismantling key drug
trafficking organizations. These awards are a great opportunity to
bring White House recognition to our units' amazing work. ONDCP is
soliciting nominations for the 2025 USIC Awards for actions
occurring during the period of January 1, 2025 through
December 31, 2025.
2. Nominations of Coast Guard law enforcement designated units
will be reviewed and submitted to ONDCP by COMDT (CG-MLE-3).
These nominations must be sent via email to:
HQS-DG-LST-CG-MLE-3@USCG.MIL. Please submit all nominations to
COMDT (CG-MLE-3) by the close of business on Friday, May 22, 2026.
Nominations that arrive after May 22, 2026, or do not comply with
the prescribed format, may not be considered.
3. Refer to the COMDT (CG-MLE-3) portal page for information on the
award categories and memorandum requirements.

4. Award nominations for USIC categories that are not law
enforcement related (i.e. Cyber, Intelligence, Finance,
Investigations) may submit directly to the USIC Awards POC listed
in the announcement memo. No COMDT (CG-MLE) review is required for
those non-enforcement categories. Chain of command and CGHQ program
manager review is recommended prior to submission.
5. A USIC awards panel will review the nominations and recommend
award winners to the Director of ONDCP for final approval. The
awards panel may recommend multiple awards, or no awards, in a
particular category. Award winners will be announced in the summer
of 2026. The USIC intends to host a recognition ceremony in
Washington, D.C. in September 2026. Award recipient per diem and
travel expenses related to the awards ceremony will be the
responsibility of the recipient or their individual unit. Please do
not submit any nominations that are sensitive in nature or pending
adjudication.
