1. REFs (A) and (B), require Coast Guard (CG) personnel assigned to
DSF units to receive the smallpox vaccines unless medically or
administratively exempted.
2. REF (C) outlines the changes pursuant to Under Secretary of
Defense for Personnel and Readiness to utilize JYNNEOS as the
replacement for ACAM2000 as the primary pre-event smallpox vaccine.
3. CRE personnel required to receive smallpox vaccine are further
defined in REF (D) and include CG DSF personnel and others deploying
to a COCOM requiring vaccination for theatre entry as defined in
REF (E).
4. CG Medical Clinics and vaccinations sites will order JYNNEOS
vaccine and document its administration as instructed in REF (C).
5. These changes will be incorporated into the next version of
REF (A). Directives System Program is working with COMDT (CG-CMO)
and tracking interim policies issued for internal controls purposes.
6. This ALCOAST will expire on 22 APR 2027.
