SUBJ: SOLICITATION FOR LOGCOM RESERVE MOBILIZATION TEAM MEMBERS
1. Operational Logistics Command (LOGCOM) is soliciting dedicated
reservists to be a part of the Reserve Mobilization Team (RMT)
from May 31, 2026, to April 30, 2027. RMT members will be a part of
a team that trains and mobilizes to LOGCOM, enhancing their skill
set, while remaining assigned to their home unit.
2. Background: The RMT is a Deployable Support Element that
consists of a dedicated team of Yeomen with various experiences
within the rating. During the 2025-2026 Southern Border Operations,
that included: Operation River Wall, Operation Border Trident and
ICE-ERO missions, the RMT was vital in the mobilization and
demobilization of nearly 700 reservists. The RMT also provides
valuable year-round training opportunities when there are no active
contingencies to support.
3. Role and Capabilities of the RMT: In the event of a contingency
operation, the RMT will be stood up in Norfolk, Virginia and will
be responsible for providing Personnel and Administrative (P&A)
and customer service support to mobilized reservists supporting
the contingency. Its duties include vetting, tracking mobilized
personnel entitlements, creating and modifying orders, and
coordinating pay with the local Servicing Personnel Office.
The RMT is also responsible for managing the demobilization
process and the issuance of DD-214s for reservist supporting
the contingency.
4. Eligibility Requirements:
    a. The 2026-2027 solicitation is open to all reserve YN3-YNC.
    b. Selection requires a minimum 12-month commitment.
    c. Applicant cannot be in Title 14 USC 3713 or Title 10 USC 12302
dwell and must be available for involuntary mobilization.
    d. Applicants must meet all requirements for deployment.
    e. Members currently assigned to the Incident Management
Assist Team, Deployable Specialized Forces Units, Joint Field
Office staff, or Area/District IMT are not eligible.
    f. Selected members must consult with the RMT program manager
prior to volunteering for mobilization opportunities outside the
program to ensure continued availability for RMT contingencies.
5. Application Requirements:
    a. Submit an Employee Summary Sheet and Command Endorsement
Memo to SMB-LOGCOM-LOG1-RMT@uscg.mil NLT 01 May 2026.
    b. The Command Endorsement memo must affirm the command's
understanding that the member's mobilization availability will be
prioritized for RMT mission support. It cannot be overstated that
command support is essential for success of the RMT. In return for
the time commitment, home units will gain highly trained personnel
who can assist in strengthening the unit's knowledge of mobilization
processes.
6. LOG-1, the Personnel and Reserve Force Readiness Division
within LOGCOM, will manage the RMT Program. RMT selections will
be announced via email on or about 15 May 2026. For additional
information, please contact CWO Brian Hence at
SMB-LOGCOM-LOG1-RMT@uscg.mil. Once selected, RMT members will
receive initial training and develop in-depth knowledge of reserve
mobilization and orders processing.
