SUBJ: SOLICITATION FOR THE 2026 PROMOTING EXCELLENCE IN PREVENTION
AWARD NOMINATIONS
1. Each year the Department of War (DoW) Sexual Assault Prevention
and Response Office (SAPRO) recognizes individuals (military and
civilian), teams, and/or units from each military service and their
respective reserve component for their exceptional work in promoting
excellence in the prevention of sexual assault. Prevention
activities, including policies, programs, or best practices, at any
level are eligible for the award. The Promoting Excellence in
Prevention Award recipients will be personally recognized by the DoW
SAPRO Director and the Assistant Commandant for Workforce and Family
Services.
2. Nominees for the Coast Guard Promoting Excellence in Prevention
Award must meet the following eligibility requirements:
    a. Must be a service member, federal civilian employee, or a
Coast Guard cadet;
    b. The prevention activity must have been implemented within the
award period from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025;
    c. Received no adverse actions during the award period;
3. Only one nomination per award is permitted from the following:
    a. United States Coast Guard Academy
    b. TRACEN Cape May;
    c. TRACEN Petaluma;
    d. TRACEN Yorktown;
    e. USCG Districts (Arctic, East, Great Lakes, Heartland,
Northeast, Northwest, Oceania, Southeast, and Southwest)
4. All award nomination packets must comply with the submission
guidance located at:

and arrive NLT 1700hrs EST, Friday, 30 January 2026.
5. Nomination packets for the Promoting Excellence In Prevention
Award must be emailed to IPP@USCG.mil for consideration.
