1. The Secretary, acting for the President, has approved the report of the
Inactive Duty Promotion List (IDPL) Captain Retention Board which convened
on 12 August 2025, that recommended the following named officers for retention
in an active status. Officers selected for retention are listed below in

of eligible candidates. Only the officer portion of each record and any
direct communications to the Board are reviewed.
3. Retention statistics for this Board are provided below. There are many
variables (e.g., changes in performance, group size, approved voluntary
separations, etc.) that may cause fluctuation within selection rates each
promotion year among groups. Documented, sustained, high performance is
the best way to remain competitive for retention.
