VTS - Safety Measure - Revetment Operations - Neptune Pass (LMR MM 22.2 LDB)

Beginning on January 3rd, and continuing through January 9th, the Captain of the Port New Orleans is issuing a Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) Safety Measure for the waters of the Lower Mississippi River (LMR) at Neptune Pass, LMR MM 22.2 LDB to protect persons and vessels from the potential safety hazards associated with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mat Sinking Unit (MSU) revetment operations.
The following vessel restrictions will be in place:
- One-way ship traffic in effect daily from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- All mariners must check in with M/V William James on VHF Channels 67 or 82 before transiting the area.
