2025 Tax Season Preparations for Retired & Annuitant 1099R Delivery

For the 2025 tax season, no later than January 31, 2026, the Pay & Personnel Center (PPC) will mail (USPS) 1099Rs to retirees and annuitants who have elected to receive the paper version of this form. Accordingly, it is imperative that your mailing address is current in Direct Access.  Now is the time to update your address at:

If you need to create a Direct Access Self-Service account, please go to: Sign up or sign in

Updating your account will need to be done no later than December 18, 2025, since DA will be undergoing its annual update from December 19, 2025 to January 5, 2026.

If your 1099R is sent to an old address, a replacement copy will only be available by electronic means.  Of course, the fastest and most reliable way to obtain your 1099R is by downloading it via Self-Service in DA (link to instructions is above). 

Cyber security requirements dictate that passwords expire every 35 days.  You are encouraged to ensure your password is updated regularly to avoid delays in obtaining your tax documents. 

Finally, if sometime in late January you are having trouble accessing your form through DA Self-Service, please wait until after February 15, 2026, to contact PPC/RAS; we need to allow plenty of time for US Postal Service delivery.
