preserving peace through strength, and readiness to fight and
win that defines every Sailor.
3. The Navy's ability to project power and control the sea
has been vital to safeguarding our nation and our values.
Just as the Coast Guard controls, secures, and defends the
U.S. border and maritime approaches, the Navy's mastery of
the seas preserves freedom of navigation around the world
and ensures our strategic advantage across domains.
