1. This ALCOAST announces alternate worksite guidance for FY26
LT-ADOS to ensure compliance with Return to In-Person Work REFs (A)
through (C). REF (D) previously set a suspense date of 30 September
2025 for remote ADOS. This ALCOAST amends (REF D) to authorize
alternate worksite LT-ADOS for FY26. FY27 alternate worksite
LT-ADOS is not authorized or guaranteed at this time.
2. Members requesting new orders or extension of existing LT- ADOS
orders who reside beyond the reasonable commuting distance of their
Permanent Duty Station may be authorized to work at a Coast Guard
alternate worksite in accordance with REF (E), which includes
routing an alternate worksite request through the chain of command
to the first Flag Officer or SES for approval.
3. In addition to the alternate worksite requirements set forth in
REF (E), requesting Commands shall ensure alternate worksite
locations are capable of facilitating personnel and administration
needs and requirements including random drug testing, semi-annual
body composition screening, etc.
4. Hosting Commands have final authority to grant space requests
for alternate worksite members within the buildings they control,
to include leased spaces.
5. For members with approved alternate worksite requests,
CG PSC-RPM will issue no-cost orders to the alternate worksite
location. Members must check-in with their cognizant personnel
office to update pay entitlements for the approved alternate
worksite location.
6. Any questions or exception to policy request(s) may be submitted
to Office of Military Personnel Policy (CG-WMM-21) at
HQSPolicyandStandards@uscg.mil.
