1. This ALCOAST announces the promulgation of REF (A) per S+
Superspeed publishing process. REF (B) is hereby cancelled.
2. REF (A) establishes policy and training requirements for Coast
Guard Boat Forces operations and is intended for use by all
personnel engaged in or supervising boat operations and training.
3. All Coast Guard unit and training center commanders, commanding
officers, officers-in-charge, deputy/assistant commandants, and
chiefs of headquarters staff elements shall comply with the
provisions of REF (A).
4. The reissue of this Instruction updates Note 2 in Table 4-5
(Minimum Crew for Training Centers), and adds Part 5 Chapter 9
Boat Forces Master Keeper Certificate.
5. Policies and standards in REF (A) not specifically addressed in
this ALCOAST remain unchanged.
