A. Certificate of Uniformed Service, COMDTINST 1900.4F
B. Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty,
DD Form 214, COMDTINST 1900.4E
1. This ALCOAST announces the promulgation of REF (A) and the
cancellation of REF (B).
2. Major changes include:
    a. Name change from "Certificate of Release or Discharge from
Active Duty" to "Certificate of Uniformed Service".
    b. The paper production copy of DD Form 214 is no longer
authorized.
3. For ease of access, REF (A) is available via the Directives and
Publications Library at:
