PORTSMOUTH, Va. — The Coast Guard reminds mariners and residents of the Atlantic and Gulf of America coast to prepare for the 2025 hurricane season.    The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, with the peak occurring between mid-August and late October.
Coast Guard crews from Air Station Clearwater pre-stage assets at Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobile to assist post-Hurricane Milton, in Mobile, Alabama, Oct. 7, 2024. Following the hurricane’s departure, Coast Guard crews stand ready for search and rescue and will assess ports and waterways to ensure mariners can transit safely through the area.
